Thoughts

This is the first green ink I have ever used and I have been thoroughly impressed.  For writing it lays down a great shade of green, it isn’t to pale or too dark.  I did notice that at the end of some of my letters or words there was a much darker shade of ink laid down.  It didn’t happen all the time and I am unsure if this is a issue with the properties of the ink or my fountain pen.

There are great depths to the shading with the Diamine Meadow.  Playing around with the ink on this page shown me that you can shade a really deep emerald green which looks wonderful.

Drying times are pretty impressive and around the 15 second mark the ink was almost dry.

This is a ink I would love to use as an everyday ink but I can't really work out how practical this would be. Is a green ink acceptable as a everyday ink?  As this is my first green ink I would love to know if there are any out there that you would recommend?

On a side note…. I might have found my new daily carry ink.  You will have to wait to find out what the is!

Thoughts

I have had this ink for a few weeks now and I still can’t make my mind up wether I actually like it or not. Something about the colour really appeals to me with regards to its shading properties.  You start off with a light grey that you can shade into a really nice deep grey.  This actually can be even noticed while writing, parts of my letters have a light shade whereas other parts a darker shade.

I do think it has potential to become a everyday ink and I am planning to load it into one of my daily carries and give it an extended run.  One slight area of concern for me is the drying times.  It does seem to take a decent length of time to dry which might put people off using this as an everyday ink.  Even at the twenty seconds mark this ink still smudged a little.

Grey might actually have potential to become my everyday ink as this colour just seems to click with my tastes in ink colour.  I’m just unsure if Diamine’s Grey is it due to the long drying times. Is there a grey ink out there that you would recommend to me?
